Dr. Abdulmalik ALIYU, is Head of Department, Department of Pharmaceutical Microbiology & Biotechnology, Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, University of Ilorin with over 10 years university teaching, research, and administrative experience.

He has served as Department Examination Officer and Coordinator of the Department Practical in addition to been member of many Faculty ad hoc committees. His areas of research interest cover Molecular Microbiology, Microbial Genomic Analysis, Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Proteomics, and Drug Discovery.

He has to his credit over twenty five publications in reputable outlets covering journals, edited conference proceedings and chapters in books. Aliyu is a member of many professional bodies within and outside Nigeria.
